Successful Start for Superleague

Donington Park proved to be a great opening event for Formula Superleague with a mix of action, excitement and stunning racing in some tricky conditions.
The complete electronics package for the cars is supplied by Pi Research, including the show piece carbon fibre steering wheel. More info on the Pi Research package for Superleague Formula.
Beijing's Davide Rigon beat fellow front-row starter Borja Garcia (Sevilla FC) to turn one off the rolling start and edged out a gap over his Spanish rival.
Race 2 employed a reverse grid and Sevilla FC driver Borja Garcia pulled out a stunning performance to claim victory in the pouring rain.
Starting from position seven, Sevilla had moved up to fifth when the race was disrupted by a safety car period on the opening lap when FC Porto (Tristan Gommendy) and Al Ain (Andreas Zuber) made contact.
Following further incident and a restart, Garcia proved to be the rain master while other teams suffered spins in the treacherous conditions.
Superleague Formula now moves onto the Germany for the next round at the Nurburgring later in September. Find out more at the Superleague Formula website.
